Mr. Dong-Uuro Philemon Puordeme is the Board Secretary and also Executive Director of ISRD. He is an astute food security and livelihoods facilitator, an experienced team leader and a Certified Development Project Manager with diverse experiences in numerous community-based (development) projects.

Prior to his appointment as Director of ISRD, Mr. Dong-Uuro worked on Agricultural Projects in the Private Sector as a Community Mobilization Officer. He worked mainly with producer groups and inputs/service producers. Dong-Uuro also worked in different capacities in the NGO sector in Northern Ghana in the areas of Food Security, Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Livelihoods and Capacity Building. Mr. Dong-Uuro has over ten (10) years of experience in development work, especially in economic empowerment of women & agricultural value chains, youth skills development and advocacy. He is also a young conservation researcher who is zealous about environmental sustainability and ecosystems restoration.

Dong-Uuro holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Integrated Development Studies from the University for Development Studies. He also obtained an MPhil. Degree in Environment and Resource Management from the same University. He had additional studies in Social Policy and Community Development from the Heinreich Heine University of Applied Sciences, Duesseldorf- Germany, and also has a certificate in Development Project Management from the Project Management for Development Academy (PM4DEV-PMI REP). Mr. Dong-Uuro studied several short courses in Climate Change& Agriculture, Adaptation, and REDD+. He is a NFP- Fellow, who studied Climate Change and Food Security at the Wageningen University- Centre for Development Innovation, in the Netherlands. Dong-Uuro is also a Pollination Project Grantee.
 

His hobbies include working with electronic systems and creative writing.
